The Holiday Stroll 2022

The Annual Holiday Stroll will be held on December 3rd in the village of Jamestown. Come support  local businesses that day. There will be tasty treats and some specials at the local shops and restaurants. Vote for your favorite festive holiday windows/window boxes! It's a great way to have fun and support our local business. Hope to see you strolling down the streets of Jamestown and enjoying this special holiday event!

Welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Jamestown on December 3rd

Saturday, December 3rd is the day that Santa and Mrs. Clause arrive by boat on the Coastal Queen down by docks in Jamestown!  Be there to welcome their arrival at 1 pm. Follow them up Narragansett Avenue as they prepare to welcome all children and hear their Christmas wishes at the Conanicut Island Gift Shop. Santa's Mail Box with be there as well to drop off Christmas lists.

Wreath Making Event!

Fort Getty Jamestown, RI

On Saturday, December 10th, The Jamestown Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Recreation Department invites families and community groups to participate in a Holiday Wreath Making Event to be be held at Fort Getty from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Completed wreaths will be hung in the village to help beautify our town during the holidays.  Twenty-four inch wreaths will be provided through a generous donation from TPG Marina. Participants should bring weatherproof ornaments and decorations of their choice. Get creative and have fun! Bows will be provided by the Secret Garden and solar lights will be available for each wreath. Come enjoy hot chocolate, treats and music to help get everyone into the holiday spirit! ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17TH, THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT will host" The Ugly Sweater Sidewalk Parade and Fashion Show". Dress in your funniest, ugliest or most amazing holiday sweater and stroll down the sidewalks of town. Contestants will meet at 11 am at the fire station and march down Narragansett Avenue, around Veteran's Square, then to the final destination of the Recreation Department. There the fashion show will be held on stage for a captive audience to vote on the best "best in show" in several categories.
