Membership Benefits

Member Benefits

  • Chamber Website – Our website at www.jamestownrichamber.com is a resource for our membership, island residents and tourists. The website includes our membership directory, which contain member profiles and detailed business descriptions. Chamber event information is also posted on the Chamber’s website. We are continuously working on the site to make it a resource for information on our members and island.
  • Networking – The Chamber regularly hosts monthly events, meeting, presentations or other networking opportunities to our members. These events include, but are not limited to: Winter Breakfast Series, Business After Hours, Annual Meeting, Holiday Party and other regularly scheduled events. Some events are also open to guests and non-members.
  • Jamestown Map – The Chamber’s Jamestown map is typically updated and printed every other year and is distributed throughout the Island and local communities. The Map is a great resource and used by both residents and visitors. There is an additional fee to advertise in the map.
  • Discounted Advertising – The Chamber regularly participates in advertising opportunities, both on and off island, and offers low-cost ad spaces to our members.
  • Chamber Check Program – The Chamber issues “Chamber Checks” that are available for purchase at Baker’s Pharmacy, Conanicut Marine Ship’s Store, Grapes & Gourmet, and Jamestown Wine & Spirits. Members have the option to accept Chamber Checks as payment for goods or services and are then reimbursed dollar for dollar for checks submitted back to the Chamber at P.O. Box 35 in Jamestown.
  • Holiday Stroll — Each December, the Chamber hosts a Holiday Stroll, as well as publishes a very detailed Holiday Stroll map in the Jamestown Press and distributed electronically which highlights all specials, promotions and holiday events and fairs occurred on the Holiday Stroll weekend.
  • Ribbon Cuttings – The Chamber regularly welcomes new members/ businesses to town with a ribbon cutting photo opportunity coupled with a Business After Hours/Open House.
  • Community Support – The Chamber makes both Chamber Check and regular monetary donations to local community groups that help support local business and our community in a positive way. Most recently, the Chamber donated $1,000.00 to the Jamestown Playground Restoration Fund following the 2017 Annual Fundraiser.
  • Newsletter – The Chamber’s new monthly electronic newsletter is a resource for Chamber members to promote their businesses to fellow members and for the Chamber to update our membership on activities and relevant business information. Members are encouraged to advise the Chamber of changes in their business, such as new lines of business, promotions, relocation, milestones, so that they can be announced to our membership.
